Kohala Mountain Road October 31, 2022

We got aware of this fire through a post of Tim Richards on Facebook:

"Shout out to the @Kohala Fire Station for their Fast response and quick action in putting out the fire that was started by what looks like someone throwing a cigarette out of a passing vehicle window.

With the drought and wind conditions the flames grew quickly to 4’ and started spreading fast. Please do not throw your cigarette butts out the window! This could have been disastrous.

Mahalo to Sabrina and Terri for trying to keep it under control until the fire department arrived."
