Local Partnerships

It is important to share experience and information, know each others at time of crisis, increase our impact on County authorities, and share of equipment/mitigation measures.

  • We have already been speaking with the Fire Department, the Volunteer Fire Department (Alpha 14), have established contacts with neighboring HOAs (Kohala by the Sea, Kohala WaterFront, Kohala Estates, Waikoloa Village). We still need to reach out to ranches surrounding Kohala Ranch (Panololo and Kahua). Although we are not yet members, we are participating in the regular Hawaii Wildfire Management Organization meetings.

  • We have developed a partnership with the Daniel Sayre Memorial Foundation, a non-profit organization here on the Big Island that has raised over $10 million (ten million) to support local volunteer fire departments. 100% of the donations go towards purchasing rescue equipment and providing vital training to save lives. You can specify your dobnation to go to our local Volunteeer Fire Department 14 Alpha.
